Create an Animal
INTRODUCTION
All living things have adaptations. Adaptations are the
features that organisms have that help them to survive and produce future
generations. Some examples of adaptations include: v A cactus has sharp
spines to protect it from being touched v A hummingbird
has a long thin bill used for reaching the nectar in flowers v A blowfish has
spines and can puff itself up as a warning to protect itself PROCEDURES
Your task is to draw an animal based upon a list of adaptations.
You may choose either a land animal or water dweller. Your drawing must show
all of the listed adaptations! REQUIRMENTS
v Your drawing must show all
of the adaptations listed.
v Your animal
must be colorful and unique! v You will need

Bee-digger-doer) v You will need
to give your animal a name ex: “Betsy the Bee-digger-doer” v Write a
paragraph explaining how your animal is able to survive given the adaptations
it has for the environment it lives in. v You will

adaptations, type of animal and chosen name. v NOW CHOOSE EITHER A LAND OR WATER ANIMAL TO CREATE!
