The first of the
quarter projects on the surface may seem easy. After all how hard is it to write a poem about science? The truth is that trying to understand and
appreciate poetry as an art form is rather challenging. Many students will try to do this project
the night before it is do. The prepared
student reads and savors poetry before they begin writing. These will be the students who receive the
best grades. Below are
selected sites to help you study and read about different forms and ways of
creating poetry. While in depth study
of poetry is not required for this project using these sites will in the end
help you turn in a better assignment.
It is suggested that you submit your poem to the teacher for read
through first before turning in your completed project for a grade. Use
each of these sites to skim for ideas. All sites are very comprehensive.
